Let your bread machine mix and bake a spicy quick bread! What a great aroma!


Ingredient List
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1 cup sugar
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1 cup canned pumpkin
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Small check mark in a circle icon2 eggs
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour or Better for Bread™ flour
  • Small check mark in a circle icon2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1/2 cup chopped nuts, if desired
Preparation
  1. Grease bread machine pan and kneading blade generously with shortening.
  2. Measure carefully, placing all ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
  3. Select Quick Bread cycle only. After 3 minutes into cycle, open lid and carefully scrape down sides of pan. Close lid to continue with cycle.
  4. Cool baked bread 10 minutes. Remove from pan to wire rack, or follow manufacturer's recommendation.
Tips
  • After cooling, wrap bread tightly and store in the fridge up to a week or freeze up to 3 months.
  • Pumpkin pie spice can be used instead of the three spices in the recipe.
