Ingredient List
  • Small check mark in a circle icon2 cups Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1 3/4 cups sugar
  • Small check mark in a circle icon2 cups mashed very ripe bananas (about 4 medium)
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts
  • Small check mark in a circle icon2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • Small check mark in a circle icon2 teaspoons baking soda
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1 teaspoon salt
  • Small check mark in a circle icon1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Small check mark in a circle icon4 eggs
Preparation
  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottoms only of 2 (9x5- or 8x4-inch) loaf pans with shortening or cooking spray.
  2. In large bowl, beat all ingredients with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed 45 seconds, scraping bowl frequently. Pour batter into pans.
  3. Bake 55 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted halfway between center and edge of pan comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Loosen sides of loaves from pans. Remove from pans to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 2 hours, before slicing.
